The Collingwood Guernsey for the AFL Indigenous round will feature the Barrawarn Program logo which is used for the Collingwood Barrawarn Program – the club’s indigenous employment and education initiative.
Barrawarn is a Woi-wurrung word for Magpie.
The Barrawarn logo was designed by the artist Dixon Patten, a Yorta Yorta and Gunnai man from the Murray River and Gippsland areas. The Barrawarn logo features two hands coming together to form a partnership between Collingwood Football Club and the Indigenous community. The crescent shapes represent people that will benefit from this partnership. The many circles represent barriers faced by the Indigenous community. The hands have pushed through the barriers to overcome these challenges.
This is your opportunity to own a piece of Collingwood Football Club History.
Now available for auction are the authentic player issued Indigenous Round themed guernseys, personally signed by the player for whom it was made.
These one off guernseys will not be available to buy at retail.
If the player takes to the field in the Round 11 match v StKilda, the guernsey on offer will be the authentic match worn guernsey.
The guernseys of the players who are not selected will also be offered for auction as non-match worn player issued ANZAC Day guernseys.
All guernseys will be personally signed and come with an official AFLPA Certificate of Authenticity to protect your investment.
All profits from the auctioning of the Guernseys will be donated to Collingwood’s Indigenous community partners
Due to all Auction memorabilia now being officially licenced. Please allow some time for the player signing, AFLPA authentication and production of the official Certificates of Authenticity.
