Too good to miss – a limited edition VFA Guernsey produced by the Hawks Museum and a very collectable 1920 team photo
The guernsey is a replica of the 1914 guernsey when Hawthorn graduated to the VFA from the MJFA with the much-loved Brown & Gold colours being worn for the first time. The guernsey is made from wool and sports the correct buttoned floppy collar. The Hawthorn Football Club wore this design until 1924 when the Mayblooms design was introduced in 1925 when joining the VFL.
Accompanying this unique offer is a copy of the 1920 Team photo that originally hung in the Past Players Rooms in the Dr Ferguson Stand at Glenferrie. Depicted in this photo is captain F. Rigaldi, star players Jim McCashney, Arthur Rademacher & legendary Trainer Beau Wallace.
These two items could be framed together making an interesting piece of Hawthorn history for the keen fan with an eye for the early days, or the guernsey size 20 would make a positive and unique Brown & Gold statement if worn to the footy.
